Where did November go?

Our month started out with Girl Scouts.  Our neighborhood 1st grade Daisy Scout troop hosted a tea party for the incoming kindergarten Daisy Scouts.  They learned the Girl Scout Promise, played a few games, and ate all kinds of goodies.  At the end of the party the girls were presented with their first patch, a cute little tea pot.  The following night Lexi had her first official troop meeting where they did arts and crafts.

In November, Lexi attended two birthday parties.  The first one was at Sweet and Sassy, a salon for girls.  The girls had their hair, make-up, and nails done and got to dress up like princesses.  The second party was at an indoor black light miniature golf venue.  The kids had a lot of fun.  I will definitely keep this place in mind for future birthday parties.

Ben and I attended Lexi's Thanksgiving Feast at school.  She enjoyed dressing up as a pilgrim.  I was reminded quickly as to why the kids will always bring lunch from home.  Need mashed potatoes with your salt?  Ben also said the nuggets were "yucky."  Greg and I both were able to attend Ben's Thanksgiving Feast.  He was dressed as an indian.  After Lexi got home from school that day she asked him what he ate for his feast.  He quickly and proudly answered, "dirt and a worm!"  One of the moms had brought dirt cake with gummy worms.  The reaction on her face was priceless!  I laughed forever.  Of course, I had to explain not to eat dirt or worms out of the yard.

The highlight of the month was Lexi losing her bottom two front teeth.  It took forever, but she pulled them both by herself.  For whatever reason she is anti-tooth fairy.  If she is imagining The Rock as the tooth fairy I can understand why.  Maybe they should have never seen that movie.
