Two weeks ago we went to a pet adoption fair. We had no intentions of leaving with a dog, but wanted to go look at the different rescue groups in our area and see what our options were. There was this one dog, Cupcake, that just laid her in cage not wanting to come out. Greg finally got her out and let the kids play with her. They pretty much ran around in circles while she laid down to watch. After almost two hours, we end up bringing her home.
She is a 10 month old retriever mix. We had promised Lexi to let her name our first dog. We gave her a short list and she chose Latte. Latte is already cage and potty trained. She sleeps 90% of the time. The kids try to make her play, but she just goes somewhere else to sleep. She does seem to enjoy digging holes in the backyard though. It was quite funny to see Lexi outside at 7am one morning this week trying to fill in a new hole she had dug.
